WELD COUNTY, Colo. — Seven contractor workers were injured in a fire at the Regnier Farms well pad in unincorporated Weld County late Monday night, according to a statement from Crestone Peak Resources, which operates the site.
Mountain View Fire responded to the site near Weld County Road 20 1/2 near E. County Line Road around 8:30 p.m., according to Chief David Beebe. That’s about a mile and a half south of Highway 119 near Longmont.
All of the injured workers suffered burns and were taken to the hospital, but none have life-threatening injuries, according to Crestone Peak. Four of the injured have since been released from the hospital, Mountain View Fire said.
There’s no indication at this time about what caused the fire.
Crestone Peak said the well pad will be shut down until the cause is determined and they’re certain it’s safe to resume work.
They’re conducting their own investigation into the incident and are cooperating with local, state and federal authorities.
Crestone Peak Resources is a Denver-based independent energy company, that was formed in 2016, according to its website.

WELD COUNTY, Colo. – Seven workers from an oil drilling site north of Erie were taken a hospital following a fire late Monday night.
The fire was reported at around 8:31 p.m. in the area of County Line Road and Weld County Road 20 ½, according to a spokesperson from Mountain View Fire Rescue.
Those transported suffered minor injuries and burns, the spokesperson said.
No other information about the fire was immediately available.

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — Seven people were injured in a fire at an oil site in a rural area near the Boulder-Weld county line Monday night.
According to Mountain View Fire Rescue, the fire occurred about 8:30 p.m. near East County Line Road and County Road 20 1/2.
The fire started in an area of a drill platform.
The seven injured people were taken to the hospital. They suffered moderate injuries, according to the fire department.
Authorities have not yet said what may have caused the fire or who owns the oil site.
Several agencies will be at the site of the fire on Tuesday to continue the investigation.
